Introduction to Our Personal Chef
Chef Caren L. McIntyre was born and raised in Walla Walla. She is a
graduate of Walla Walla High School and received an Associates in
Applied Arts and Sciences Degree in Culinary Arts at the Enology and
Viticulture Center at Walla Walla Community College. Caren is a second
generation culinary professional following in her father's footsteps
and as early as the age of six years old, Caren could be found in the
kitchen baking cookies with her grandmother.
Caren has been with the Green Gables Inn as an innkeeper's assistant
from 1993-2000 and later returned to Green Gables Inn in 2006 to
become the Chef's Assistant. She is a Graduate of Beef University from
the Washington State Beef Commission, SERVSAFE Certified; the National
Restaurant Association's industry standard in food safety training and
a member of the Wine Country Chapter of the American Culinary
Federation. She was recognized by the Chaine des Rotisseurs, an
International gastronomic society founded in Paris in 1950, and has
competed in baking and food competitions.
